Windows Live Mail And Gmail

Ok, so hopefully someone can say they have had the same problem. I got a new laptop, set it up, got windows live mail which is what I used on the old computer, and put in to it my gmail account. Every port and server is correct and I have tried checking it multiple times. It always says log on and wants me to enter the password for pop.gmail.com which I do but it keeps popping up over and over. I have tried reinstalling windows live mail as well with no result. Thanks all so much if anyone can help me.

your GMmail account may have locked, try going through the troubleshooting tips that gmail has.

I had a similar problem with GMail and WLM. It turned out that it was set to use IMap instead of POP3. I can't remember where this exact setting is (although it'll be in the account properties), but it is worth checking.

Make sure that in your account settings on the gmail site you have pop enabled.
